Interesting Story To Keep You Occupied
Some of us have been quite bored in the off-season. So, I have an interesting story to keep you occupied.
So, about a week and a half ago, I was at basketball practice. We were running a drill and I was running backwards. In the gym that we use, they have tape to mark the floors and such. I was running backwards, started to slip, caught my foot on a piece of loose tape, and fell. I looked down at my arms. My wrists were blue and the bones were obviously displaced. The pain was unbearable, but somehow, I didn't cry (not until I got in the car). They called my mom to come get me (they should have just called 911). My mom brought me to the hospital where they took x-rays and splinted my arms temporarily. Then they whisked me into the ER. The doctor confirmed my worst nightmare: BOTH OF MY WRISTS WERE BROKEN! They had to set my wrists, so they took me in a room and put me to sleep for this task. They hung my arms from the thing they normally hang the IV from. Then they put 20 lb. weights on my arms to pull the bones back into place. When I woke up, there were plaster splints on my arms. I had to wear those for a week I was completely immobilized. Then, just yesterday, I got my casts. I get new casts in two weeks, and two weeks after that I get braces. I don't get to play again until February, but at least I can feed myself.

P.S. That took me like an hour to write with these damn casts on.

Feel better
Personally I’ve never been put to sleep before. I have NO idea how it feels. Hopefully I never have to find out. Feel better.

It's weird. You know stuff went on around you, you just can't remember it.

Ouch, how did you manage that?
Get well soon, that must’ve been some fall to break your wrists, good luck healing and in your return.

Hope you have a gf
because I see no self gratification in your immediate future. Bummer.
Strikeouts are boring- Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.
