Red carpet? Whaddya talkin' about?

Apparently, Joe Girardi and Brian Cashman are a little too busy to familiarize themselves with the 'E' Network, or the whole Hollywood glamor scene.

After being treated like runway models, Manager Joe Girardi and General Manager Brian Cashman were relieved to inch out of the spotlight. The Yankees celebrated their championship one more time as Major League Baseball Productions showed the premiere of the 2009 World Series film at the Ziegfeld theater.

"I looked that uncomfortable, huh?" Cashman asked.

Girardi was also flustered during his first stroll along a red carpet.

"Someone asked me what I was wearing," Girardi said, "I didn’t even know what it meant."

When Girardi was told that the playful question was who, as in which designer, he was wearing, he said, "See, I don’t even know the question."

I think I would be more worried if Girardi actually DID know the answer to the question.

LOL

I probably would have no idea what they meant also.

Genius story

I’m really enjoying all these Joe Girardi stories that have come out over the years. Between this and the one where he stopped to help a car accident victim just after the Yanks won the title, it looks like whatever happens, the Yankees manager remains interesting.

And I haven’t even mentioned my favorite Girardi moment: A Letterman segment a decade ago that featured still catcher Girardi and Biff watching Titanic with Biff putting the moves on young Joe. Absolute genius!
