Scenarios and Strategies
Some thoughts from Yankee fans in the nation's capital....
So.... As I am basking in the aftermath of last night's game and the legendary steal that Damon had, which has been deemed "Damon's Dash" by the people a Yahoo! and the beautiful Ashley Russell, not to forget A-rod coming through in the World Series as all Yankees fans have been waiting for him to do; many questions within the office today arose regarding the greatest dynasty in sports.
Many are pondering whether it would be better to win the series in Philly, get #27 and not fool around, or if for sentimental and historical sense, win #27 in the Bronx. My personal view is to wrap it all up tonight, but if for some reason that doesn't happen, my only thought switches from history to pitching...
If Burnett struggles tonight (which I hope he doesn't) and the Yanks are forced to face a game 6, does Pettitte have enough to seal the deal? or will forcing a game 6 give the momentum to the Phillies and possibly push a game 7? If the Yankees are forced to bear a game 7, can CC keep his mental game going to win it all?
With the latest news of Melky potentially having a hamstring injury, does this play a factor in the offense? I like Gardner, he is fast, has a good bat, and can field well... maybe this is the time for him to take over, what a stage to prove yourself!!
I leave some of these questions up for discussion with my brethren in Pinstripe Alley.. As noted I hope the Yanks seal it up tonight, but would like to understand some other points of view on these ideas...
OH and of course... GO YANKEES!!
Cheers!

In a weird and twisted way I want
to lose so we can win in the Bronx. Is that weird? That’s just what I think.
