that would suck
although there are worse players it can happen too. Gardy would fill in admirably I am sure. Plus Guzman could come on the roster to replace him and they’d still have a speedster.

2 outs
now CC, get out your former teammate and call it a night for you (and possibly a season). If it’s your last inning of the season, then nice job. If not for Grienke you are the Cy Young winner in my mind.
is ANYONE seeing the strange stain on joe blanton's bill of the cap?
And WHY haven’t any of these broadcasters mentioned it? They’re not actually as bad as we say they are…are they?

No. Joba’s got the same stuff. I think the pitchers are doing something to distress their hats, maybe wearing the same cap through all their workouts?
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
This was a mini-controversy in last year's WS
Joe Maddon pointed it out, but Blanton said it was just dirt and Fox never followed up on the story. I did some digging of my own and discovered he ALWAYS has that smudge of dirt on his hat. I don’t know what it is, though.

Trust me, he was. It's a "solid single" for the Phillies
But it “got through the infield” for the Yankees. I can’t believe they still have the World Series.

I remember visiting my parents in Rochester, NY last year
and we all went to a Red Wings game (thats the farm team for the Twins). And they were playing Scranton. And Bruney (who was on some sort of rehab) comes in the game, drills the first guy in the back, gets ejected and gets into a brawl, and leaves.
So he WILL drill someone if he wants to. So, why not? Although I wouldn’t put Utley on and bring Howard up as the tying run.
