What the f$%k is the internet?

Excelsior!

Facial LaFleur, total facial.

shocked is an understatement.....

when the dodger’s beat the cards…..Maybe I am naive but I just expected Carpenter to win. I did not really watch much of the game so I do not know how each team played.

yup.

And I think Wolf had the bases loaded like twice within the first 3 innings.. and the Cards didn’t get but 1 run I think

by Yankz09 on Oct 8, 2009 6:15 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

both teams left

a combined like 30 men on base it was bad they both had chances to blow it open but never did

This is the year...

For the Angels to beat the Red Sox (which would hopefully mean it’s the year for the Yankees to beat the Angels). They have better starting pitching than they ever had before and a lot of free agents to be. It’s now or never for them.

Yankees can beat the Angels

they were 5-5 against them this year. Thats better than recent years. And they won 103 games. I think the Yanks would win that series despite the past history.

Bosux/Angels is going to be much more interesting though. I’m going with Angels in 5, because they have home field. Plus I really hate the Sux and I want to see them go down in round one!

Go Angels! Win it for Nick!

I'm not sure who I want to win in Angels Blow Sux

because I don’t want there to be the “Yankees never beat the Red Sox” if we win the AL this year, but at the same time, every time the Sox take the field I want them to lose by 100.

So I’m of two minds, and probably just wasted 30 seconds of your life.

So long as we sweep

and they go 5 games, it’s all the same to me.

I would avoid AJ in Fenway like the plague, but I’d also like to avoid any West Coast start times.

He handed them that game...

I don’t know how you can fuck that up.. I mean that game should’ve been over.. and that closer was horrible after that error

In all fairness, Holliday blew the Save

I wonder if Cards fans still want him back next year.

by YankeesJets on Oct 8, 2009 9:26 PM EDT up reply actions

It's true

I’ve watched a bunch of Phillies games on weekends when I’m playing poker in Atlantic City. I’ve commented to Phil fans that I’m so glad to have Mo whenever I see Brad Lidge blow another save.

WHO THE HELL DO WE TALK TO

TO GET THE TIME CHANGED ON EACH COMMENT TO EDT??

Enough of this PTD junk.

Strikeouts are boring- Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.

by Yankz09 on Oct 8, 2009 11:25 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

ya'll really want the angels to win?

i feel like we do better against the bosox than the angels.

by typhical on Oct 9, 2009 12:21 AM EDT up reply actions

I think most of us would love to see a Yankees-Red Sox ALCS...

but who in their right mind can root for the Pissants to win anything?

What the f$%k is the internet?

by FreeBradshaw on Oct 9, 2009 6:54 AM EDT up reply actions

i think that

it is the year of getting the monkey off the back, the Angels are going to get the whole not being able to beat the Bosox thing off their back and we are going to do the same with the Angels

by Danielle I on Oct 9, 2009 12:54 AM EDT reply actions

The Angels are scary good

Took advantage of every mistake the Sox made.

by Scooby Snacks on Oct 9, 2009 12:57 AM EDT reply actions

and every mistake by cb bucknor! wow what atrocious calls.

by blindmole on Oct 9, 2009 1:35 AM EDT up reply actions

Actually

neither of his blown calls were capitalized upon by the Angels. They won on their own merit, clean hits, and a bona fide home run.

by phonty on Oct 9, 2009 6:15 AM EDT up reply actions

I don't know who I'm more worried about...

But I do know that if the Yanks lost to the Angels in the LCS, I would have an easier time dealing with it than losing to Boston (best would be to beat Boston, of course, but you never know).
