Interesting Baseball fact about the 1950 World Series
I was driving to lunch the other day and heard this interesting fact on NPR:
The last time the Yankees and Phillies met in the World Series was 1950.
The 1950 World Series was the last World Series where all of the players from both teams were white. We have come a long way.
I just thought I would pass that along. This is a great tidbit of trivia to throw around at the office.

All of them are white?
Excuse me, but how about Jeter, Cano, Melky, Hairston, Arod, and CC Sabathia? They are not white. Well, Jeter is half black so you could make a good case about that. But other than that, are you okay? Because that statement was completely and utterly false. :^)

Uhh
Jeter, Cano, Melky, Hairston, Arod and CC weren’t even born in 1950, let alone playing pro ball. Heck, back then their parents were still kids.
