Rays 5, Yankees 3: The Important Game
The Twins won, the Tigers lost. There is a tie atop the AL Central.
As I write, the Dodgers and Rockies are starting a series that could create a similar situation atop the NL West (though those teams are locked in as Division Champ and Wild Card).
In other news, Andy Pettitte could only managed to throw 54 of 95 pitches for strikes. The Rays drilled him for 6 hits in less than 5 innings of work. He'll be ready for the postseason.
How disinterested in winning was Joe Girardi? He started Hairston and Hinske at short and third, and pulled Tex and Damon down 2.

If you missed the earlier post… I’m obviously not very good at predicting things.
But I’ll try.
Girardi has said many times that Posada was the guy they missed most last season, so I tap him to manage with CC or Mo as pitching coach.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
