Go Dodgers!

Well, I don’t really care who wins. Just kinda wanna see it go 7.

Damn...

Jason Werth’s for real huh!?

Dunno who to root for. Can’t stand Philly sports teams and given that they probably are gonna be the series winner regardless of this game’s outcome….I expect to fully be annoyed by Philadelphia fans the next coming week or two…ESPECIALLY cuz the Giants play the Eagles 11/1….so MORE NY vs. Philly annoyance..

Yet, LA basball fans have annoyed me too.

Eh…prolonging this series is better for the Yankees in the future. Lets go Dodgers!

WOW!

Is there a reason why there is no mention of the jet stream in Philly?

Cuz…uh….there is….

yankees better tomorrow, long rest for both

So the Yankees are playing the Phillies?

Can’t see the Dodgers getting out of this one. Back-to-back WS appearances are pretty impressive.

by Scooby Snacks on Oct 21, 2009 9:46 PM EDT reply actions

wow dodgers. why to play hideous baseball.

Thank God for making us Yankees.

by noonoo on Oct 21, 2009 9:47 PM EDT reply actions

i mean way to play hideous baseball

Thank God for making us Yankees.

by noonoo on Oct 21, 2009 9:48 PM EDT up reply actions

Damn, the Dodger bullpen is really bad.

The Phillies are looking a bit more intimidating now.

Yankees all day.

by Onishadow14 on Oct 21, 2009 9:47 PM EDT reply actions

Agreed

Even more so with Brad Lidge perhaps turning the corner as he hasn’t given up a run in almost a month.

by Scooby Snacks on Oct 21, 2009 9:52 PM EDT up reply actions

3 innings.

Not as big as a deal as everybody else is making it to be.

Yankees all day.

by Onishadow14 on Oct 21, 2009 10:24 PM EDT up reply actions

I am from Northern California.....

and a Giants fan so I am NOT pulling for the dodgers, NO WAY…..And with manny and his latest antics…..the latest Bleacher Report has two stories of his last “little selfish” act. I would really relish the YANKEES taking the dodgers to the cleaners…..

Really says alot about their confidence in winning this game.

Yes we are!!

And the Phils 6 outs..

by Yankz09 on Oct 21, 2009 10:53 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

One of the announcers just said something really dumb.

The camera showed someone’s hand with the Phillies 2008 World Series Ring on it, and the announcer said, “The Phillies will try to add to their collection in 2009.” The “collection” consisted of a single ring!

by pinstriper on Oct 21, 2009 11:44 PM EDT reply actions

If we make the World Series

it would be an awesome matchup. CC vs. Lee, ARod vs. Howard, defending champs vs. the winningest franchise in the sport.

I would have rather faced the Dodgers but, if we win one more game, this should be a Hell of a series.

I just hope IF we do get in we win cause I will never hear the end of it where I live in South Jersey and I may have to punch someone for talking shit. According to the Philadelphia Enquirer the Phillies have already won the WS, I hope it bites them in the ass like the book the Boston Globe made on the Pats perfect season back in 07 before it was even over and we all know how that turned out. : D

by Danielle I on Oct 22, 2009 12:10 AM EDT up reply actions

Technically

they were perfect in the regular season but a perfect season would have been winning it all but we all know which NY team derailed that for them. 18-1

by Danielle I on Oct 22, 2009 12:17 AM EDT up reply actions

Yep

worst 18-1 team in history.

by GMan83201 on Oct 22, 2009 12:31 AM EDT up reply actions

Ask a Patriots fan what they think of 18-1 and if its "perfect"

16-0 is great and a nice little way to make history.

The NYG’s 14-6 is MUUUUCCHHH more perfect.

eh. darn. i wanted dodgers to win.

is it just me or is dodgers/yanks more appealing than phillies/yanks…

until the last out is recorded nothing is guaranteed, but this douche I work with started pushing my buttons the minute I walked in saying that a repeat is inevitable for the Phillies, I would love nothing more than to stick it to them. I hate all Philly teams, but lets win tomorrow first and deal with the douches later.

by Danielle I on Oct 22, 2009 12:42 AM EDT up reply actions

And.....

Another playoff fail brought to you by Joe Torre, ugh we still got work to do GO Yankees and AJ.

by Danielle I on Oct 22, 2009 12:55 AM EDT reply actions

thank you man

cc is going to be the difference if we make it

by jv52yankees on Oct 22, 2009 12:55 AM EDT reply actions

They have Cliff Lee to counter with

I gotta say, it’s even across the board except for bullpen. That and we have homefield advantage.

by GMan83201 on Oct 22, 2009 12:59 AM EDT up reply actions

yea true but I'm not scared of

Lee, their lineup in pretty decent though, as long as we bring our A game we should be fine. but lets cross that bridge if/when we come to it.

by Danielle I on Oct 22, 2009 1:01 AM EDT up reply actions

North Jersey orginally

moved down to South Jersey in 01 hence all the Philly hate lol, what about you

by Danielle I on Oct 22, 2009 12:59 AM EDT reply actions

their pen ours is better

plus we have home field advantage but it’s pretty much even as GMan said but lets not count our chickens yet.

by Danielle I on Oct 22, 2009 1:03 AM EDT up reply actions

Hamels has been pitching like crap

their lineup is National League great, which would be American League good. Your lineup is American League great. There’s a difference (and I’m an NL fan). Your rotation is better, and your bullpen is way better. You both have pretty bad managers. I’d say you guys should win in 5 or 6.

That said, and as much as I hate to admit this, they’re like Jason f-ing Voorhees – they just will not die, ever. I’m so utterly sick of them. So please, Yankees, beat the Angels tomorrow, and kick the Phillies ass.

"[The Giants] beat us down. We were beat by a grown-man team, a team we want to be like one day. They came in here and took it to us. Out-manned us, out-gunned us. ... It wasn't even close." - Raheem Morris, 9/27/09

by cjmulrain on Oct 22, 2009 1:50 AM EDT up reply actions

I know lol

they don’t know how to die I just hope we take care of the Angels and then the Phillies.

by Danielle I on Oct 22, 2009 9:17 AM EDT up reply actions

you are right my bad got ahead of myself

lackey should be better at home and aj is on the road so we have work to do still

by jv52yankees on Oct 22, 2009 1:04 AM EDT reply actions

yea but I think AJ will be fine

I like when he pitcher behind CC he seems to try a lot harder to be good you know to keep the momentum going as long as our bats are like yesterday I think we’ll be fine but not saying anything yet.
