Mariano Rivera spit accusation is wrong
this is clearly a mistake.
Please take a look at the images inside and tell me what you think.
this is clearly a mistake:
take a look at this image:

the "spit" that appears to be hovering on top of the ball, is the white on socia's jackat that can be seen in the next frame:
since the video cameras are fading it appears to be spit, but really all the spit goes on the floor, as can be seen clearly in this image:

this is socia's jackat:

Since the cameras are in 2D it makes it look closer then it really is.

Rivera
clearly does spit, but the supposed “splatter” on the ball is just the fade to Scioscia’s jacket. The most likely explanation is he spit while holding the ball and the spit did not touch the ball-namely that he was just spitting the way every ball player does. The fact is that no one throws a spitter that way, and in fact spit is generally not used to throw a spitter. You have to give those HH guys their due-theya re really good at coming up with conspiracy.
+1
And I am so sure a VETERAN pitcher would just stand on the mound and spit on the ball. Let alone Mo, is all class and always has been.

He'd have to be an idiot
to spit on the ball in the middle of the diamond with who knows how many cameras on him.

On behalf of genuine Angel fans
we apologize for the actions of a few conspiracy idiots.
Mo has earned every one of his saves and is as classy a player as they come.
Even though he helped get our title, K Rod might have learned how to be a professional by acting more like Mo. A mid July game shouldn’t result in celebrations that make Al Hrabosky blush.

Thank You for being a respectable fan.
Like you said, on behalf of the Genuine Angel fans. Not the fairweather fans who no nothing about the game
VA Yankee since 93'
Mo has been cleared....

Not that it should have been a story in the first place.
Alright moving onto game 4….
That story was a joke
Rivera would never do that. Wouldn’t people who have watched him since the mid 90s know that?
Mo’s being used a LOT though. In every postseason game. And he’s been fantastic so far. Hopefully he can keep it up. I’d hate to see him run out of gas because he’s being used to much.
Mo laughs at the idiocy
did anyone see this?

Thank God for making us Yankees.
Its just amazing...
that these sad, lazy, frontrunning dunces have to stoop to such levels of blame.
You know why they did this? Cuz Mariano escaped from that jam unscathed.
Was the """Angels fan""" actually watching the game? HELL NO, they were worried about setting the blame for when they FAILED that inning.
Make fun of Jeter for the "intangibles thing, A-Rod for all his stuff, Posada for all his stuff.
You can even challenge MO for possibly declining if you dare…
Why any waste of human life would go an challenge whether MO Rivera is cheating like this needs to questioned in GITMO.
..."I predict...the Giants are #1"...
...."That's not a prediction meatman, that's a FACT OF LIFE"!.

Because it is apparent
The Angels have a higher percentage of idiotic a-holes than any other team in the bigs. When the Yanks beat the the Twins, the Twin fans were upset but they remained classy after the pain wore off. The Sox fans actually surprise me how well they conduct themselves, even after being swept. I am actually pretty shocked by the stuff I have seen written over at HH and their ring leader is a complete jackass. You know I may disagree with TravisG and his love of all things stat and his dome fetish but he is 10000x better in every way than that moron running the show over at HH.

welcome to psa
since our managers aren’t assclowns like your guy is, I am sure you can hang around and write your tiny little douchey comments all over the threads without the consequence of being banned. Enjoy.

HHrs come here to breath
the fresh air of democracy since HH is Stalingrad. They know the pathetic reputation they have. Let them chirp here without being banned. It will be fun to send them packing this year — when they are going to get e-bombed back to the stone age after its done.
why is it "douchey" because I'm an Angels' fan?
all I said was that he made a comment…
U are the one making rude comments on HH. I didn’t even reference anything about the series or the spitball video.
Figgi --- are you here as an Ambassador?
While I’m not the one who called you “douchey” i gotta tell ya it is hard to take anyone from HH seriously with the whiney crap that goes on over there.
Perfectly fine to be an Angels fan. Alot of us even admire Soch’s approach to the game. The big turn-off is the HH universe that follows the team and makes excuses for everything that doesn’t go the Halos way.
Go back and look at your site. Conspiracies, Yankee stadium a bandbox, bad announcers, worse umpires, media bias… blahblah waawaawaawaawaawaa “Mommy Mommy Mommy!”
If you are true to yourselves then root for your team to win the games. And accept when you get beat straight up. Rev Halo and a bunch of those clowns are pissant wussyboys who get no respect from ANY mlb fanbase because of the way they whine. Over the next two games take what comes your way — and we’ll do the same. No excuses.
understood and most is made as a joke just to get under PSA's skin.
also I have a comment rec’d here…go to the jeter/arod ass grab post and see that I come here in peace. I don’t have a problem with people from other teams coming on HH but recently a yankees fan crossed the line by making a post under the name of zombie adenhart.
thank you rosebud
I just want a good fight to this finish…good luck. ;)
u might see me on your blog tomorrow but nothing negative/gloating. :)
Seriously, very sorry...
HH has been a fun hangout for many Angels fans like myself, but some of the stuff is ridiculous..
- Mo’s spitball- it’s legit to ask the question bc the way the camera shot looked, but stupid to assume that he’s cheating. He has been killer.
- Umpiring- myopic fans think there’s a conspiracy, but the umps have been brutal period. to both teams.
- Complaining about FOX announcers so called “bias”- Rational baseball fans know that neither team really likes the FOX announcers. Some HHers view this as conspiracy, which is very silly.
Probably just alot of kneejerk, “little-brother-syndrome” reaction to getting pole-axed 10-1 in game 4.
