Nice job pulling Robertson, what a terrible terrible coaching move. Kid put the ball wherever he wanted it every single pitch. Marched right through the inning for Joe to lose the game for us. I am sick to my stomach. Only good thing about this loss is Swisher will finally take his 1-109 bat to the bench finally. Hopefully CC throws a complete game tomorrow because I dont want to see Joe walked out to the mound every 10 seconds. I cant decide if he likes being on camera or just wants to lose the game for us. Unreal.

Joe certainly didn’t help matters, but what cost us the game was Swisher, Cano, and Melky. Those three at the bottom of the order could NOT HIT FOR THEIR LIVES!!!!!!

I’m sick and tired of those three always being up with RISP and never getting it done. Melky was clutch early in the season, but has anybody noticed that he hasn’t been lately? Cano? We all know he’s not clutch. And Swish? He’s ok, but then today he comes up twice where all he needs is a fly ball to get a run in and he can’t do it twice. THAT is why we lost. We couldn’t tack on extra runs. We let them hang around. And you can’t let a team like the Angels hang around, because it’s going to bite you.

No reason in the world to pull Robertson. None whatsoever. Absolutley an awful coaching move. If we lose this series it comes back to that move.

Girardi, melky, cano, aceves, swisher. News flash people these are the guys who got them into the playoffs to begin with. I knew the Angels were gonna win. They’re too good of a team to get swept. This is gonna be a tough series. Don’t bail on your team now. You all sound like a bunch of front runners.

I figured that if we were going to lose a game, it would be this one. Weaver is their best pitcher, and Andy, while great, is our 3rd best. This game didn’t really hurt too much to lose, I feel like if we won it, it would have felt like stealing one.

I’m not sure Andy is our 3rd best pitcher. I’d argue that overall he had a better year than Burnett (particularly in the 2nd half) and, of course, he has a lot more post-season experience than Burnett.

Notwithstanding …. I agree that it would have been a very tall order to sweep the Angels. Although I don’t think this Angels team is as impressive as some prior Angels teams this decade, they are still a formidable opponent and …… their manager wins games for them (or, at the least, doesn’t intervene inappropriately and lose games for his team) …..
