Sabathia to start game four
It's official. Word came down from Joe Girardi that CC will start Tuesday night in Anaheim. It will be Sabathia's first start on short rest with the Yankees, though he is no stranger to it, having done it three straight times last season with Milwaukee (when he compiled a .83 ERA in the process).

Shocking
I’d rather have our playoff fate in the hands of Gaudin.
(cough) sarcasm (cough)

I don't know if I agree with that
only because if we end up winning Games 3 and 4, do we REALLY want AJ to start Game 1 of the World Series!? Not coming around to CC until possibly game 3?! Hmmmm……

But I guess
we have to take it one game at a time right? Everybody can’t be the manager

Gotta focus on getting to the World Series
before worrying about what happens in it

Thats not how it works.
Strikeouts are boring- Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.

If we're able to sweep CC would start game 1 on 7 days rest.

Heh, it's all good.
Should it be necessary, he could start game 7 on regular rest.

ROC...
do you know how long the layoff is gonna be? Yea, maybe CC is gonna be scratched for game 1 if what you say about games 3 and 4 happens….
But CC would have a lot of time off again. We;ll see.
And..yea, I’d be completely fine with AJ starting game one. I’d be even better with ANDY PETTITE starting game one.

?
CC will pitch game 7 of the ALCS on normal rest if it gose that far, so CC will be able to star on extended rest for gm1 of the series. i dont think i understand your point?

How in the world would
Gaudin fulfill his 75-pitch fan-mandated quota then?

If we're up 3-0 CC will be the death blow
if we lose tomorrow and are only up 2-1 CC will be the momentum killer. Sounds good to me.

+1
I’ve said it all along I don’t care if we are up 3-0 let CC start so we can slam the door on them.

You couldn’t be more right my friend…..here’s hoping pettite can be pettite shut down their running game and hopefully we can score some runs off weaver….
ALDS….
game 1— 7 runs scored
Game 2—4 runs scored
Game 3— 4 runs scored
ALCS
Game 1— 4 runs
Game 2—4 runs.
Game 3—??
Game 4—??
Point is we have been winning with great defense and great pitching. The offense hasn’t really don’t anything. Aside from A-rod and Jeet nobody is hitting and it is very frustrating. Anyway hope we start swinging the lumber…LET’S GO YANKEEEEEES!!

I went to game 1 at yankee stadium…..would love to be there this week for the potential 3 games up there. Here’s hoping that there are only 2. Pettite prepares the noose and CC drops the door. HANG ‘EM……LET’S GO YANKEEEES

theres nothing but positivity in this game
Up 2-0…yea, were going to their house but we have the momentum….
Andy gets to avoid the cold weather affecting that veteran arm…a factor no one seems to be talking about….not to mention he has one of the best pick off moves in baseball…which could hopefully compensate for posada’s base throwing inabilities….
The only thing I don’t want in our minds are doubts about our O because we HAVEN’T been very productive with the bats. Atleast not as productive as we have been clutch. But I’ll tell u I’m not comfortable with any close games in anaheim…. i’d like the bats to wake up and kill any bit of creeping confidence in this team….street fight rules….when they’re down no need to let them get up.

Good call --
Andy’s the perfect guy to start the “Game 3 in Anaheim” scenario because of that pickoff move. Running is the central component of their offense, a component they’ll surely want to spark now that their back in “Blown-Calls-Against-the-Yankees Stadium.”
No doubt about the pounding — let’s get that offense cranking today and give those fat, pom-pom waving soccer moms something to cry about.

that may have been due
to the Saints offense. Just a thought.

Its hard to go from destroying bad teams week in and week out to
playing one of the best offenses in the NFL. That was the kick in the ass they needed to resolidify and reel off 4 or 5 more wins.

Hey..
the Saints destroyed Weak opponents too.
THe media FAILED to mention that the Lions, the Bills, the Jets and the Eagles (I thought without McNabb…but they also aren’t all that good with McNabb).
Yea…the Giants got killled, but don’t blame the strength of the GIants schedule. You could have blamed that for the Saints too.

Didn’t he pitch on Friday? If he pitches on Tuesday isn’t that 4 days, not 3? Or am I counting wrong?
