NLCS Game 3: Pivot
The NLCS is tied at a game a piece. Former Cy Young Award winner Cliff Lee answers the call for the defending World Champs, while the Dodgers counter with Hiroki Kuroda, who beat the Phillies in last season's NLCS Game 3.
Use this as your open thread to talk about the game, the awesomeness of Mariano Rivera's 2.1 IP last night, the 0% chance of rain awaiting the Yankees on the West Coast, or anything else that comes to mind.

Just got back from the gym...
and the Bills vs. Jets game was on. What a piece of shit that game is….
The Giants got killed today too…WTF?
meh....
didn’t expect that from the Gints…but then again it reminded me of the Browns game last year.
Sucked…but its not the end of the season. Could be a good thing. Giants proabably needed to be knocked down a peg.

WHile I expect the Giants to recover..I always love how when the Jets are 3-0 there is SB talk…..Jets are gonna be this way the whole season.

I'm from Buffalo
It would be nice to see the Bills play good sometime before I died. Too young to remember to Super Bowl run.
im from oakland
we won today bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is anyone else annoyed that ESPN
seems to be making excuses about the weather for the Angels? Didn’t both teams play in the same crap?
Fernando Vina even said something about how the weather affected the pine tar and that’s why Abreu didn’t play well….huh??
Then they mentioned Nick Adenheart. So which is it? Emotional baggage? the Weather? or the Pine Tar?
I vote for hidden option D: crappy play.

Yep
what do you expect from ESPN/Boston Network? Now that their beloved Red Sox are gone, they are making any excuse to try and make people believe that the Yankees will not be in the World Series. Let the keep making excuses though. It doesn’t matter what they think. The game is played on the field. And the better team will win (looking good for the yanks right now. THANK YOU A-ROD!!!!).
I’m sure the weather affected the Halos more than the Yankees, but it’s not an excuse for the way they played. They got beat by the better team. Well see tomorrow if they fare any better in Anaheim.
lets talk about our dominance over the angels...
and black tacos of course.
Damn. I don't know what's worse.
The Dodgers starting pitching or the Phillies bullpen?
Yankees all day.
I want to sweep.
Just to shut their mouths.
Also Dodger batters gotta work their asses off to keep Lee from pitching a CG, he’s looking dominant right now
Yankees all day.
Dodgers have no chance this game vs Lee's dominance thus far

I figured the Dodgers had a chance at a sweep. Who’d have thought Pedro could have a game like he had?
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
After watching Pedro earlier throw 130 pitches
in 8 shutout innings vs the Mets, anything is still possible with him. Sure the Mets’ offense stinks but still…

Those guys at Halos Heaven
are absolute crybabies.
“A-Roid’s home run wouldn’t have been gone in any other stadium”
“if the Angels were playing in a real park then the Angels would be winning”
“It was cold”
“the Yankees got lucky”
I swear to god, shut up! I thought the Red Sox fans were bad!
They got one thing right
Angel Stadium is hands-down THE WORST. I’ve been to 19 different ballparks. Next is the old Shea Stadium.

Back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back
to start the game
I don't think Red Sox fans would have used any of those excuses!
Instead, they would have been talking about how the Yankees all do steroids, the ump screwed them, and the Yankees have an unfair advantage because they have more money.
i dont want to see it come back to NY either
this is too
good of a team to give any hope too
the posts...
On halo’s heaven look strangely familiar. Almost carbon copies of what I read at Twinkie Town when we were playing them. Utter utter denial. they cant wrap their heads around the fact that we are going to sweep them.
"Son, Nobody is half as good as Mickey Mantle"
must say since im late in this discussion...catching up:
Fuck fenway….no way in hell do I ever step foot in that shit-hole…
Black taco’s got nothing on my steak chalupa w/ extra sour cream….
I want a rod to shove a clutch bomb down lee’s throat in the WS….any team whose uniform is red can get it just like the twinkies did and the angels are going too…….
No way the giants supposed to get beat like THAT…which we had ross in phillips back in the secondary though…our corners were null against there recievers…
Did I mention no fuccin way I step foot in fenway?….
