Around SBN: Dana White Announces Koscheck vs. Hendricks for UFC on FOX

This was just the second homerless game at the new stadium. The last came in a 3-0 loss to the Nationals on June 18. That’s in 84 games. Wow. The wind obviously blew in tonight, likely costing Vladimir Guerrero (fourth) and Robinson Cano (sixth) homers.

It takes some awful weather to keep the best team in the league at hitting homers in the park.
And we get more of the same tonight... oh joy.

If we still win tonight without our obvious homefield advantage...

then it’s all to the good, and it proves what a versatile team this squad is.

However, I’m a little worried about Burnett. He walked a ton of guys in the LDS, and he works slow, and in this came that could turn into SBs. Which is bad because we’re not going to have the option of homering our way out of this.

the walks turning into SB's could hurt...

but hopefully this is where Molina makes himself useful.

Also, if AJ is not walking people, he is not good. He simply just throws stuff that has too much movement, but its usually not a strike. If the guys don’t swing, its a ball…so there’s your walks.

If the Yanks were worried about LA stealing ..

they should start Cervelli. Molina and Jorge each caught 28% of the runners; Cervelli caught 43%.

small sample size?

Molina & Jorge each had way more chances, I’m assuming.

Cervelli is good on D

but he’s also raw. It’s my understanding that Molina and AJ mesh really well and that Molina calls a better game (that terrific unmeasurable variable). It’s comforting to have a naturally gifted young catcher like Cervelli, but I trust Molina more in terms of defense simply due to his experience.

wow cph...

surprised you’d even post again after proclaiming CC a playoff choker after the first batter he faced doubled.

And no, they shouldn’t start Cervelli. THey shouldn’t even be starting Molina.

I dunno

If AJ is more comfortable with Molina then I am all for it. Really it only costs us 2 or 3 ABs because as soon as AJ leaves, Jorge comes in. It’s worth it to help insure that Burnett doesn’t get shelled.
