What a game

CC Sabathia threw the best game by a Yankee in the playoffs since Andy Pettitte in 2003 (by 'Game Score'). He pitched eight innings, allowed four hits and one walk, and struck out seven.

His fastball was incredible, averaging 94 MPH and reaching 96. It actually increased in speed as the game went on. Of Sabathia's 113 pitches, 79 were fastballs. 67% of all his pitches went for strikes. He threw first pitch strikes to 17 of 29 batters. Anaheim got just two runners into scoring position.

What a treat it was to watch. May it happen again this series.

What a treat indeed…..I was in the bleachers and in the 7th inning when the entire stadium started chanting CC it was like the old days. The place echoed. And shook when Mo struck out Vlad in the 9th. 3 more wins!!! LET’S GO YANKEES…. its worth mentioning that my voice is completely gone lol

CC was on his game

right from the first batter of the game. He made the uber-pest Chone Figgins look like a FOOL in the first AB and then proceeded to make Joe Buck cry as he dominated the Angels.

Good call on Buck --

But I think McCarver was under the desk playing with his action figures, trying to ignore what was going on on the field, because I didn’t hear him after about the fifth inning.

Or is it because I was yelling so loud?

If anyone for some reason needs some more of a Yankee playoff

MLB Network is showing Game 7 of the 2003 series.

I had completely forgot they were losing this game 4-0 in the 5th…then the Giambino HR.
