Is there really a new Mr. October?

Alex Rodriguez, the new Mr October???

Come on...why is there talk about him being in the same league as Reggie Jackson come playoff time? I'm happy...stoked even that A-Rod came through in the clutch in this year's ALDS, but we're not even close to being done yet.

The LA Angels are a much stronger and better team overall than the Twins. They had our number in the regular season and the past two playoff exits were owed to the Angels.

So why are people calling A-Rod a possible new Mr October? Kate Hudson? This douche wrote this article thinks so apparently. Click here. I think Kate Hudson's cool and all but I've probably seen more of her in the stands than I could ever remember seeing A-Rod's ex Cynthia. I know...moot point.

The way the MSM just creates stories out of thin air is ridiculous. I agree with this article that Jeter, if anyone, could be classified as the next Mr October. Click here: Article

He's definitely proven it over the years and 4 WS titles is enough validation.

Don't you think that the MSM is out to bury A-Rod? Are they trying to jinx him? See if he falls under added pressure? It's got to be right? Maybe cause it increases their readers/ratings?

Amazing how...

that 2004 October falls flat.

Hold your horses. We got a long way to go.

Love what he’s done so far. But he’s done this already against the Twins.

New series, whenever it starts (hopefully on time…cuz its too drawn out already). We’ll see.

It's amazing how opinions change with A-Rod

I mean, 2 weeks ago, all we heard was, “A-Rod can’t hit in the playoffs”. And now, he’s Mr. October! The truth is in between those two extremes. Do I believe that he can become a Mr. October with a Monster postseason this year? Maybe. Especially if you can add a walk off Grand Slam in the World Series in there (man, that would be SWEET). But one good LDS and he replaces Reggie? Absolutely not.

I don’t care about the nicknames A-Rod is given. I just want him to produce in the playoffs and help this team win.

The Angels should help him with that. He murders the Angels.

Compare earlier in their careers...

Game 43 of his postseason career was Reggie Jackson’s 3 HR game. Before that he was a mortal, hitting worse than A-Rod is at this point, 42 games into his postseason career. At the same point, A-Rod has more RBI’s, but less HR than Reggie, and a higher average.

We can’t judge A-Rod’s postseason career until his career is over… or else Reggie wouldn’t be Mr. October at this point either.

Really good point about Reggie and the 3 HRs.

A-rod

is far from Mr October, he has two good playoff series and a bunch of shitty ones. Mr Hudson has a lot of ground to make up before earning that title. Here is to another bad series for MR Hudson.

Good luck to you all in the upcoming series. Hopefully we can get some baseball in this weekend. I am not one to tell someone how to spend their money, but if the Yanks are going to spend $1B on a stadium and they tend to make the postseason every year I would think a retractable roof might make a lot of sense.

I will tell you it is great weather for Baseball out here in Orange County. Today it was sunny and 75 degrees. Play ball and I look forward to a great series!

Halos in 6 (split in NY, take two at home and then back to the cold to wrap it up)

R.I.P. Nick, you are missed!

ARod still needs more time

I agree heavily with ZigKitsune, judge him when its over. But he seems to be turning a corner……we’ll just have to watch and see what he does the rest of the way.

------It's October, winning is what the Yankees do........let's just do it already
