The REAL reason the Red Sox were swept.
As I'm sure many of you recall, the Anaheim Angels completed an ALDS sweep of their perennial playoff nemesis the Boston Red Red Sox. This left many baseball pundits, analysts and fans wondering "What happened?"
Was it poor pitching? 25 ip 5.76 era 10 bb 18k
Poor hitting? .158/.223/.232 7h 7rbi
Poor relief work? 1 awesome blown save
Worldwide umpire conspiracy?
Global Warming?
El Niño?
The answer to these questions is a resounding NOPE!! None of these things compare to the insurmountable odds that America's favorite, blue collar, salt of the earth, gritty, gutty, play the game the right way, team faces on a day in and day out basis. In fact, I cannot even put into words how disadvantaged they have been all season. I'll let Dusty (.167/.231/.250) do the talking

Two costly runs that Pedroia knows would not have scored if he fielded the grounder cleanly.
"It took a bad hop," Pedroia said. "Our infield (stinks). It's the worst in the game."
Pedroia was obviously peeved, but did not back away from his statement.
"I'm not lying about that. That is true. I think about those things. That stuff upsets me," Pedroia said. "My job is to take 1,000 groundballs a day. Other guys' job is to get the field perfect so we can play baseball."
Remember kids, it's not how you play the game, it's how many white collar, bourgeois, merlot sipping ,caviar nibbling groundskeepers you can throw under the bus afterwards.

I remember
Papelbon also complaining about the grass at Fenway.
Hey, I’ve got a complaint. There’s a big retarded wall in right field that makes all of your hitters better at home. But yeah, the grass was definitely the reason.

Knowing right from left
is over rated.

lol
well, the right field wall is pretty retarted to as a matter of fact. Who builds a 30 feet wall on one side and a 2 inch wall on the other? Any ball caught on the warning track in right field in that ancient park, technically is “robbing” a home run.

LOL.....not trying to be a troll.
But I swear when I read “big retarded wall in right field that makes all of your hitters better at home” I thought you were talking about Yankee Stadium.
OK, it’s not big, but the rest is pretty accurate.

LOL!
I guess Dustin was pissed cuz they didn’t cuz the grass low enough for him to see home plate!
He must be smoking some grass to go and throw his groundskeepers under a puss like that. If I were one of them, I’d go and water down his area in the infield so much that little pipsqueak sinks.

I wonder how bad the infield was when they won the World Series those couple times?
------It's October, winning is what the Yankees do........let's just do it already

no.
the infield was fine that year.
See, when the Red Sox lose, there just has to be something that influences the game, other than the Red Sox Suck, that makes them lose.

I Guess the Angles Brought Their Infield with Them
to play on in their half of each inning. Oh! I’m sorry, you say that both teams played on the same playing surface? I guess the Angles had home field advantage then, knowing how it plays better then the Suax.

Then I guess.....
the bosux had better get a more efficient field staff…..OR BETTER YET, dump poor little pedroia…..Or the Grounds Crew could water down little dustin’s when they need to relieve themselves…..

That was about as unclassy as it gets.
That’s what I love about the Yankees. We don’t make excuses for what we did wrong. The Red Sox on the other hand, are a good for nothing, low class, excuse making, midget size, jackasses the world has ever laid eyes on. I really had to get that out of my system. I feel much better now. By the way, good post.
I plan to live forever. So far so good.

the bo sox has no soul
all of the national hype and increasing fan base (thanks espn) was due to a red sox team that had heart, character, and the mission of killing the curse. the red sox were just obsessed with beating the yanks and now that they finally have no one cares anymore. their team is lame and they play like they deserve to win. they a real superstar to lead them. pedroia is a midget, bay is average, ortiz is fat, and beckett is no schilling. uck em
