The Yankees will start C. C. Sabathia in Game 1, and with Joba Chamberlain entrenched in short relief, they could bring back Sabathia on short rest for Game 4. Because of scheduled days off between Games 4, 5 and 6, Sabathia could then pitch on regular rest in a potential Game 7.
I said it back in September- the only way I let Joba (or anyone else not named Sabathia) start Game 4 is if we're up 3-0.

My only question to this is
would it mean Burnett and Andy pitch on short rest as well? I’m completely confident in CC on three days, but Burnett and Andy make me nervous if they don’t get a full five days.

Ride CC to the Bank ...
I have no problem with this. Now is the time to lean on CC with confidence. I suspect our bats will wake up, lessening the angst over Burnett and Pettitte. I would not give Joba a starting nod. He’s our closer of the future.

Scheduled off days between games 4, 5 and 6? I can see between 5 and 6, but kind of lame to have one between 4 and 5. Luis Tiant anyone?
