+1
it’s been a GREAT day. Giants are looking great right now. Yankees are in a great position. And the Blow Sux are eliminated. A Yankee win tonight will cap it off!

damn...
first negative of the day…Dallass wins in OT.
Still, pathetic they were taken to OT by the Chiefs.

I love watching Romo
all proud and talkative in his post game interview… considering he went OT against basically a division 3 college team. I hate Romo so much more than I hate Brady, at least Brady has the goods to back the swagger.

or at least Brady was the 3 SB championships.....
Romo hasn’t won anything.

I'm a Twins fan
so congrats to you guys for the sweep. Your team is unreal. But we both share a full on, 100% hatred for that d-bag moron Papelbon. I was just THRILLED tonight to see that he blew the save to give the Angels the sweep. That makes losing to you fells that much easier to take. God I hate that guy.
I always loved that one.

Kudos!
You guys played one of the best “regular season” games I’ve ever watched versus the Tigers. Twins’ fans should be proud of reaching the playoffs with such a tiny payroll. If Carl Pohlad wasn’t such a tightwad, the Twins should have a lockdown atop the AL Central every season for years to come.

I wonder what may have happened if Morneau was healthy...
I know once he went down the team got hot and got into the playoffs, but I don’t know how anyone can say it was in spite of Morneau.
That’s why the Twins were outmatched. They pretty much matched the Yanks pitching wise until of course the Yankee lineup was too much.
Morneau has killed the Yanks at times (tho of course they’ve overcome it this year…) and there is no doubt that the Twins were playing shorthanded.
That said, even as a sweep it was a good series. And yea, Sunday, aside from that drubbing by the Giants and the Yankee’s win, was at its best when PAPELCRAP blew the save. I’ve said he was a ticking time-bomb the whole season, now he proved it.

Your team ...
is excellent. You have a great organization and a real knack for being there in the end. One question, though …
What’s up with the new stadium not having a roof?
Are you guys crazy?

Seriously ...
Did you guys not have the dough for a retractable roof? Isn’t it like 14 degrees in April? Just a curious Yankees fan living in Virginia Beach.

Well
We actually have a team of MEN who actually can play in weather not between 70-75 degrees. Holy shit it’s raining what are we gonna do??!! Well thats what your hat is for. My god it’s so cold what are we gonna do?!?! Put on a long sleeve shirt under your jersey buttercup. Are we raising that many pussies in this country that we need a friggin dome on our BASEBALL fields?

whoa
relax there.
you do realize that the players don’t actually play in bad weather, right? what would you call them?

Snow plow ...
I know you guys are tough … But I coached Cuddyer in Chesapeake, VA. He’s not one of you guys, but one of us …
And one other thing… I predict it will be sometime in April that you’ll send Sven the thick-skinned Nord to plow a path from home to first so Denard Span can beat out an infield hit in 2 inches of snow.

Small World
A friend of mine teachers with Cuddyer’s sister. Say’s he very down to earth, very nice guy.
It’s always good to hear that about any millionaire athlete.

I think. ...
Cuddyer’s wife is a teacher as well. Not positive, but I think I recalled reading that somewhere. He’s a great guy. Success hasn’t really affected him too much. I see him in the mall during the off-season. He comes into my daughter’s school (his alma mater) and gives motivational talks. He doesn’t have to do any of it, but he chooses to, and the community loves him for it.

Sorry it took me a bit to get back to this;
But yes, they did not build a roof. The hope was that they would build it ‘roof-possible’ so that if funds came along down the road they could add it on, but even that was not possible. So yes, no roof. It WILL be very cold in Sept/Oct and April/May, but trust me, we are just happy to have a real ballpark again. We’ll deal with it. One thing I know is that we all have a LLOT of long johns and gloves and hats and coats here. Plus they made the seats a big bigger for us with our extra padding during the cold games.
I always loved that one.

you knew this was going to happen...
papelbon has been walking guys and allowing basehits all season. He would load the bases, then get out of it without allowing runs. You knew it was going to come back to hurt him in the postseason.

Who else here is extremely happy with the fact that…
… we didn’t have to watch him dancing that sissy little jig while wearing that plaid dress of his?
You know if old Riverdance there was on the Yankees and he did something weird like that dancing around in a dress, he’d be ridden outta town on a rail for it…
I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...
