Joe Benedict Torre
Talk about bitng the hand that feeds you. Wasn't the headline "Clueless Joe" when Torre came to the Yankees. Now, in the safety of the Dodgers and the post Manny-the-savior routine last year, Torre sends these bombs? I just do not get it! Anyone notice anything strange with Torre's performance below? Maybe a career saved by Jeter, Posada, Tino, O'Neill, Mo and now Manny? Good luck Clueless on handling your depleted team in 2009.
C'mon Giradi do a Coughlin - moderate the discipline and watch the team fly!

i'm not personally offended
by anything Torre has written, but i would certainly understand if a player was.
Joe made himself out (or so it seemed) to be a father-figure/psychologist to these players. they could tell him anything. that trust is gone.
if i was a Dodger, i’d be VERY careful from now on.

Sometimes the truth hurts
Hey some of the things Torre said were true who cares is he is saying them now. I am one of the biggest Yankee fan’s around but I will also be the first to tell you A-Rod is a fraud until he proves he can help win us a championship. Also the way ownership treated Torre at the end was insulting. Who cares about the his old record I mean how many other manager are out there that we consider Hall of Famers that don’t have four championships? Tommy Lasorda, Tony LaRussa, Lou Pinella. Give Torre the respect he deserves.

So it's A-Rod's fault that the Yanks haven't won?
The lack of starting pitching has little to do with their lack of postseason success since 2003?
There is no such thing as the A-Rod curse. People who have nothing better to complain about continue to bash him because he’s the easy target.
Hopefully, all this A-Fraud blame will be put to rest sooner rather than later now that they have a strong rotation again.

it’s my understanding all the A-Fraud stuff was not behind his back, rather guys poking fun- clubhouse ribbing… i look forward to reading the actual book…

Understood
My reference to the A-Fraud stuff is calling out “fans” who blame him because they haven’t won in recent years.

yeah.. i was more replying to the other guy, not you...
i’m with you.. i would love for all this crap to be lifted from Arod- because that would mean the Yanks are champs again..

I hope the book doesn't have any lingering efffects.
I’m definitely going to read it, it’s hard to believe Torre would write anything bad. This is our year, I can’t wait to have a reason to watch the World Series again.

Look...
I am not saying that but let me point out that A-Rod has not won a championship with any team his has been on. He is a good player but he gets teams so cash strapped that they cannot build around him. Luckly we are the New York Yankees and we can afford to pay him and get quality players. But it is frustrating when you pay him 30 million and he gets to the playoffs and chokes. I know that are pitching sucks and that was our down fall this past year but last year was not the only year A-Rod was on our team. I want A-Rod to hit 60 homers and 100 RBI’s more than anyone but that means nothing when you don’t bring home a Championship.
