Boy do I miss Torre!
See I told everyone at the end of the season last year that once Joe was gone things were not going to be the same and for the first time in 13 straight years Yankee Stadium will be not be hosting a playoff game. This is sad but you look across the country and Joe Torre is about to make his 14th straight playoff appearance. We are not just missing the playoffs of making the Wild Card we have fallen behind 3 Teams in the East the Rays ( Who expected that!) The Red Sox (I hate them more than anything in this world) and the Blue Jays (WTF!) I am just waiting for the Orioles to catch up. Look I hope we turn things around for next year and I guess I will begin to watch football early this year and hope for the Giants to give me something to smile about. I know the Knicks won't ! This season is one to forget for sure.
There was no RED SOX CURSE... They just sucked for 86 years!

wow
50% of voters think Torre would have done better? y’all know the Dodgers are 3 games worse than the Yanks?

You think they have as much talent?

I do not think they're
as deep or as good.

Torre with the Yanks
I think the whole Torre crew—Mattingly, Bowa would have made more of an impact. I think Girardi did a better job with the bullpen than Joe would have done.
I supported the change and think Joe G. did okay given the situation, but Torre may have done a smidge better.

no way
there is no way the yankees would be making the post season with torre in the dugout this season. i love him just as much as the next yankee fan, but girardi didn’t make a whole lot of bad decisions.
there is such a huge discrepancy between the nl west and the al east that you can’t even begin to compare the two. to say the yankees are better off with girardi is a stretch, but it is had to say there would be a different outcome to this season

Joe Torre is winning with a lot less talented players
I mean just look and compare rosters, the Dodgers do not stack up against players like Arod, Jeter, Damon, Giambi, and others. Torre has made it to the playoffs with less talented players than that, and he’s continuing his greatness this year.

I agree that the Dodgers aren't as talented as the Yankees,
but they’re also in a division where they’re the only team over .500 while the Yankees are the fourth team in their division over .500. The competition isn’t nearly as tough for the Dodgers.

Hoping
I just keep hoping that this season is a transition season and that the Yanks will be a different team come next season.
