PREGAME NOTES:

Yanks are 6-0 on the season against the Mariners and they have won 8-straight overall dating back to last season.

Hard to believe, but the Yanks are just 14-15 on the season in games started by Andy Pettitte.

Alex Rodriguez is 12-for-27 (.444) with 4 homers and 12 RBI over his last 7 games.

Andy Pettitte is a lifetime 9-10, 4.73 ERA, 1.46 WHIP in 19 starts against the Mariners.  He is 1-0, 3.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP in one start against them in 2008.

Brandon Morrow is a lifetime 0-0, 12.27 ERA, 3.27 WHIP in 6 relief appearances against the Yanks.

Mariners' hitters vs. Pettitte can be viewed here.  Yanks' hitters vs. Morrow can be viewed here.

ACEVES TO START TUESDAY:   According to Pete Abe, Darrell Rasner has been booted out of the rotation and has been replaced by Alfredo Aceves - who will start on Tuesday against the Angels in Anaheim.

That's what I get

for commenting based on gamecast data. Now that I’m able to see the telecast, he looks like he righted himself but good. Man Morrow is dealin’. Sure smells like a no hitter coming.

1. at least we broke up the no-hitter

2. thought we had a rally in the 9th.
3. a foul out’s a shitty way to end a game. so anticlimactic.
