Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before

We'll go as far as our starting pitchers take us. (Mr. Kennedy, 2+ IP is not nearly far enough).
An interesting sidenote, the bullpen's IP breakdown runs 104.2 IP in April, then drops to 91.1 in May, 82 in June, 79 in July. Hopefully that light July workload has everyone fresh for the stretch run. We're going to need all the help we can get.

Pen
Our pen doesn’t look fresh at all. Did some aliens come in and do a Space Jam switcheroo a couple weeks ago? Our greatest, most consistent strength as a team suddenly has become our greatest liability. Our pen has blown too many games lately that we should have won. I’m not really worried about our offense. Starting pitching is still our greatest overall concern, without a doubt, but we should be able to rely on our pen after a quality start like we could for a few months earlier in the season. There’s no excuse when a career minor leaguer (Giese) almost shuts down an offensive firepower, our offense scores a decent amount of runs, and then the pen comes in and throws BP. The same thing happened to Pettitte today (though our offense was lacking) and Ponson against the Angels last weekend.
