News on Joba
MSN:
"I'll be throwing in a week. I'll probably throw the beginning of next week," Chamberlain said Friday when he arrived at the Yankees' spring training complex. "Everything feels fine now."
I don't really have anything to add other than that all sounds like great news

Great news is an understatement compared to how I felt when Joba walked off the mound holding his shoulder.

Sweet
The 2nd half of that story is also pretty good news. No problems for Matsui after testing his knee yesterday.
If he comes back to fill the DH spot, and Damon plays CF, the Yankee lineup will have zero outs in it.
"Well, that kind of puts a damper on even a Yankees win."

Agreed
Melky has had two years to show his stuff. A good arm doesn’t make up for the .220 BA since May 1st.
Leave Damon in CF. Keep Nady in LF. Put Melky on the bench where he belongs.
Melk Man
Melky will probally remain as a bench player untill next season after Abreu leaves and Nady takes over full-time in RF, Damon in LF and Melky in CF. (Matsui will DH)
"Hey Derek do you actually drive the Edge?","I don't drive that piece of crap!"
I've heard radio commentators
suggest that Nady could play center (he’s got something like 50 starts there in his career) which would open the door to bringing back Abreu.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
