Darrell Rasner is a lifetime 2-0, 3.57 ERA, 1.15 WHIP in 3 starts against the Jays. He is just 2-9, 5.75 ERA, 1.66 WHIP in 15 starts since May 26.

JOBA UPDATE: Joba Chamberlain threw 35 pitches of BP today. Pete Abe has all the details.
To summarize, Joba had some control issues shaking the rust off, but seemed to come out of it okay physically. Joba claims he's ready to go, but Girardi wants to wait until tomorrow to see how he feels and go from there.

Here's hoping
Rasner uses some razzamatazz to baffle the Jays. He’ll need it.
gutless
This team has absolutely no heart. If you wonder why they’re not making the playoffs, think about an offense those goes right to sleep, sloppy defense, and clutch hits by guys on the other team who are in terrible slumps. This is an ugly team.

Mr. UnClutch Strike Again
Reminds me of something Earl Weaver used to say. “If you’re gonna hit into a double play, could you please do me a favor and strike out?”
Oh where oh where
is seanp23? Did you like A-Rod’s double play in the ninth? That one was far and away better than any other double play any other player has ever hit into. Why are you fascinated with this guy?
that's not fair
A-rod hasn’t been getting the job done, but he crushed that ball. A couple of feet in either direction and it’s at least a tie game. He didn’t blow the lead, either.
