Around SBN: Steve McNair Dead - Former NFL QB Shot and Killed

Giambi gave us a breath of life today, but even my faith is stretched to the breaking point.

Do you think the Yanks have it in them to (at least) make a run?

I'm afraid

it si a long long shot.

I hope they can give us some excitement. This team was outclassed by Boston in this series.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

One day at a time

The Yankees aren’t very good, but Boston is kind of lousy too. When the Yankees play the game the right way they’re a better team than Boston is right now because the Sox are so banged up.

They could get one hot hand in the rotation (Joba?) and one hot bat in the lineup and really go to the whip, or they could get wiped out by Toronto this weekend and be in fourth place on Labor day.

Let’s get Moose 20 wins, and let’s see a glimmer of hope from Hughes before the season ends.

Pile up some wins and see what happens.

As the great Joaquin Andujar once said:

There is one word in America that says it all, and that one word is, ‘You never know.’

"Well, that kind of puts a damper on even a Yankees win."

Anything is possible, I guess ...

When your 4 and 5 hitters aren’t driving in runs, your starting pitching is a patchwork of AAAA starters, and your bullpen is starting to show signs of fatigue it does tend to diminish chances of a run.

The logical part of me agrees with “Little Stein” who said “We suck.”

The Yankee fan in me says so long as there isn’t an ‘x’ next to our name in the standings we have a shot.
