I want everyone right now to vote and tell me whether or not the Yanks are going to make the playoffs. I vote first. Absolutely!!!!! The reasons why The Yankees will make the playoffs goes as follows. Mike Mussina our unsung hero. 1.1 batters walked per game. 1.2 (WHIP) 5-1 So to BB ratio. Joba will be back. Soon! The Red Sox have 6 games left against us and 6 against Tampa Bay in which i predict they will go 4 and 8. Chicago has a real tough schedule yet. They have 3 against Boston 3 against teh Angels. 3 against Minnesota and 4 against us and The Bluejays. So theyre done. The hitting is coming alive slowly but surely we have scored 55 runs in the last 9 games. Then theres the defense with the fewest errors in the league. You know the defense alot of you call old and shitty?

The defense

IS old and shitty. Range factor is an important stat.

No on the playoffs. When Justin Christian got picked off first in the ninth, that was the final coffin nail.

But the boys from the Bronx have been playing some poor ball. Tues Wed & Thurs may clarify things a bit.

agreed

i keep wanting to count this team out, but if they can take two out of three this week from boston and toronto— they will be more than still in it. Easier said than done though, I know..

My vote would be ‘probably not’ at this point— but I just can’t give up on this team yet. Maybe a couple more kicks in the gut and I’ll stay down… we’ll see.

it don't look good..........

they have a 3 game win streak now. if they make it 6 or 7 straight by sweeping the sox and taking 2 of 3 from toronto, things would certainly seem a hell of alot brighter. just seems everytime they look like they are gonna roll by putting together some wins, they follow it up with some horrendous loses……..incon-stinkin-sitent!

with that said.........

would it be something if the yanks fought to the end and got the red sox wild card lead down to, lets say, 2 games going into that final 3 game series in fenway!!!! D-R-A-M-A……….that is my hope, that going into boston on that final weekend the yanks hold their destiny in their hands!

there’s no point in losing faith
this team always seems to make the playoffs even in unlikely circumstances
veterans show their true colors in september and we have lots of division games left
