Raise your hand if you expect a good outing from Pavano

define "good"
He’s already thrown a pitch, and didn’t die from it. That’s more than I expected.

that's tough to define
I guess doing enough to help the team win.

Well if he gets luck like that, he should give us at least a Ponson-like outing.

I may retract that
he’s already thrown a lot of pitches. He’ll be lucky to get through 4.

Why the hell does Damon insist on calling off his teammates who have immesurably better arms than him?

Hey, a 1-2-3 inning!
He hasn’t looked good, but he’s doing okay, I guess. This could easily be a 4-1 game if Damon didn’t have a momentary lapse thinking he was Roberto Clemente.
Nonetheless, 4 runs already off Guthrie ain’t too shabby. The guy is a pretty good pitcher.

Wow
Not bad by Pavano.
Lots of baserunners, but only one or two guys has hit the ball hard. And only 1 walk.
83 pitches through 4. Run him back out there? 4,5, and 6 due up for the O’s.
“Quit while you’re ahead” would be my philosophy here, but he’ll probably come back out.
"Well, that kind of puts a damper on even a Yankees win."

Gotta agree
He did better than I expected. And 5 IP with a lead is about the most anyone can ask for.
I’m just waiting for Bruney to make it interesting because you know he will.

I just got into Denver
I tried to log on to the game via Slingbox, but Hotel connection sucks…
I will have a crazy week here, but I gotta find time to watch the Boston series…
