A-Rod

A-Rod’s instincts were spot on. The best way to avoid humiliation is to choose not to compete.

I don't think he would have participated anyways

His concerns about it screwing up his swing I believe are legit.

BTW....

I dig the uniforms tonight. Much cooler-looking unis than we’ve seen in recent years.

Best part of the night was the

double take by the blonde reporter when the MLB guy called Justin Morneau “Jason.”

Everything looks nicer when you win. The girls are prettier. The cigars taste better. The trees are greener. --Billy Martin

That was great

I also enjoyed when two fans jumped from the bleachers to chase after one of Hamilton’s shots into the black seats. One ran down the ramp and the other got caught by a cop, who had both hands wrapped around the guy’s neck in the front row of the black seats on national television. ESPN quickly cut away. High comedy.

Seeing the mosh pits that ensued in the RF bleachers after a ball went in there was also entertaining.

That Hamilton didn’t win after all that shows you how stupid the whole thing is, but that was the most awesome display of power I’ve ever seen. Berkman and Morneau weren’t exactly hitting cheapies either.

"Well, that kind of puts a damper on even a Yankees win."
