Bruney Update

Via LoHud:

Brian Bruney showed up after the game. He said his bullpen in Tampa “was awful” yesterday because he was all over the place. He also felt some pain in his foot on some pitches. He’ll get checked out by a specialist today.

Bruney remains optimistic that he can be back in late July. But he’s got to first get in a groove of throwing every other day and then get into some rehab games.

Expect Bruney (out since late April) to basically redo his Spring Training, so I'm betting he pitches about a week at each level before he's back in the Bronx.  Late July, early August sounds right to me.

He had pain in his foot

He might well get shut down again.
