Any seats to avoid at Yankee Stadium?

Pilgrimage with my dad to Shea and Yankee Stadium in June 29th & 30th - Yankees at Mets and Rangers at Yankees....

Subway series is sold out, so I'm looking at ticket brokers.

Never been there.  Tickets are expensive, so I don't want to get seats that stink.  Any advice on best seats or better yet, what to avoid?  ie:  obstructed views, etc.

Also, is the Yankee Stadium tour worth it?

I would appreciate any input you may have

Thanks!

I go for

infield or right field bleachers. I’m not crazy about any of the outfield seats or the left field bleachers. The problem with sitting in the bleachers is you don’t have access to the rest of the stadium. I didn’t think they did the tours on game days. Definitely go to Monument Park while there.

If you can get any seats between 1st and 3rd on any tier (even upper tier are good and lots of fun) or in the right hand bleachers, that’s the way to go. Some of the outfield seats are obstructed by the foul pole but I’m not sure, off hand, which ones those are since I tend to never sit there.

If this is your only visit to the stadium

don’t sit in the bleachers because you won’t be allowed to go int monument park. I think that the bleachers are the most fun place in the ballpark to sit because of the die hard fans there.

I don’t think there are any exceptionally bad seats at Yankee Stadium, but what I would suggest is don’t be scared to be in the third tier. I think if you had a choice between ground level on the past the bag or third tier last row anywhere from base to base I would take up in the third tier.

Crowds are won and lost and won again, but our hearts beat for the diehards.

agree.

I love sitting in the bleachers but I haven’t been to Monument Park in a few years. My take is you have to do both at least once. If you can ONLY go once this next year and have never been then def sit where you can go to Monument Park.

And yes, if you have a choice of an upper infield and a lower outfield, go with the upper infield.
