Wow, big kid

6’3”—230 I didn’t realize Felix was that size.

nice suit Michael Kay

He’s pissing me off less these days. I don’t know why.

His radio show is now picked up by XM

maybe he’s feeling more freedom from the Yes propagandists.

He should be thanking YES

What other outfit would make him the face of the network?

When dan patrick was still with ESPN

he always had Kay as his radio show fill in.

his new show on SI is good

looser than espn allowed it seems. Their streaming tech. needs some upgrade though

I've only heard it once

but I was a regular when he was on ESPN Radio.

I think he's a workhorse

He works like every single day. And except when he’s being an idiot, he’s not that bad.

The out-of-towners can't watch today's game

so I’ll have to resort to GameDay.

by anaconda on May 3, 2008 1:05 PM EDT   0 recs

why?

I never get how this out of town thing works.

But you live in NY

Fox has broadcasting rights until 6pm EST on Saturdays.

I could watch the Cubs or ChiSox on the local cable network, but that’s it. At least, not until 6pm.

It's funny

one of the few things I got out of Living on the Black was that umps really like Moose. They feel like he never shows them up, but we always worry about him staring in. Sterling described it last inning; I guess it must be ok.

I'm going out to Houston in July

to help a friend move, and I was all excited to go to Minute Maid (or whatever they call it now). They’re on the road and then have the All-Star Break.

I don't doubt that

Sox tickets are far cheaper and easier to get than Cubs tickets. But I would never go see a stupid white trash Sox game unless they were playing the Yanks.

Keep Damon in the lineup

there’s no reason to sit him when he’s one of the few Yankees hitting right now. He’ll get his days off when he cools off.

He’s up to .288 now.

by anaconda on May 3, 2008 1:57 PM EDT   0 recs

I have to agree

Though I still think I’d run out a lineup of Damon-Abreu-Jeter-Matsui-Melky-Giambi-Ensberg-Cano-Molina for the next week.

One more Moose thought

from that book: the reason Moose preferred throwing to Nieves/Molina is because they’re littler guys and can set him a lower target. We’ve seen a couple DPs and some more weak grounders today- do you think it could that simple for a cerebral guy like Moose?

but certainly not leaner

by bronxbound on May 3, 2008 2:39 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

they look around the same height to me

but sometimes heavier guys seem shorter than they are so maybe he’s taller.

I think Jose has got to have at least 20 lbs on Jorge. Jorge is in phenomenol shape. Other than that shoulder.

and Jose has 40 pounds on Jorge. Maybe he just has shorter legs and able to squat further down.

by bronxbound on May 3, 2008 2:50 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

A 40 lb difference? That seems a bit much. I’d say Jorge is about 200 lbs and Jose is about 225/230
