Joba one of six?
Just watching ESPN here and they had won of their mid-day updates. They quoted Joe G as saying that Joba's next turn out of the bullpen could be his last, and that Joba could be a starter by next week in what would be a six man rotation.
Newsday has reported this as well, although not as a direct quote from Girardi. Too much too soon? Six man rotation?
I personally don't think it's a terrible idea, and it's built in way too keep the innings down on the younger guys, and keep the wear down on the older arms (just don"t tell Moose his schedule will be changing...ha)
Thoughts?

My biggest concern would not be it’s effect on Moose – it’s the effect it would have on Wang.
Not only would Wang be making fewer starts, but that extra rest doesn’t do his sinker a bit of good. They would also be down an arm in the pen or a position player.
It’s something to think about because of the impending return of Posada because I think the team is going to carry three catchers until Posada proves he is absolutely 100% healthy.
I could see a six-man rotation happening for a turn or two while Joba gets his pitch count up, but I don’t think it’s going to be a long term solution.

Check it out ... I said it
Not to blow my own horn … Heck, I said IPK was the shit, but I was one who actually endorsed and suggested using a 6 man rotation. I still think it makes great sense when you look at innings caps, and young arms. It’s an intriguing philosophy that frankly makes sense to me. I’m using it right now with my AAU kids.
