Boy have we missed Arod

A-Rod getting hot would also do wonders to relax the rest of the offense.

Team is getting some breaks tonight.
Matsui was toast if the throw is handled.
Rasner has gotten away with is mistakes.

I hope they don’t retaliate for that. Olson wasn’t trying to hit Melky, especially on a 3-2 count.

Olsen is also running out of pitches.
I don’t think they’ll retaliate. He wasn’t hit as hard. Jeter and Arod get hit too much. We need to really protect them.
Oops, he’s out while I’m typing.

Jeter gets hit on the left hand a lot
because of his batting style and diving into each pitch. I don’t think opponents are trying to hit him.

They buzz him inside.
They do not mind hitting him.

Rasner is pitching well, but he’s gotten lucky a few times.
It’s funny because Kennedy pitched about as well his last time out against the Rays but the few mistakes he made were hammered.

Things really working for Rasner
That last pitch he really missed. The hitter missed it for him.

He's thrown a few hangers
but the O’s haven’t made him pay for it.

It's hard to figure out where a pitcher is going
When he keeps not throwing it where he meant to.

That, my friends, is called "karma"
They caught a break on Delgado’s homer the other night and A-Rod had one taken away tonight.

How about that.
It happens again. This time A-Rod loses a home-run.

Are they
starting to stretch Joba out. It is the first game i have seen this year that he went 2
Cano is a Pimp

He's thrown 2 IP this season before
But it would seem odd to let him throw 2 IP in an 8-0 game without a good reason.

Yep....
That’s a good thing for the Yanks. He needs to be a starter.

I don't mind that he starts.
What I am worried about is who will replace him in the pen.

The conversion isn't going to happen overnight
so they still have a month or more to figure that out.
By then, we may see guys like J.B. Cox and Mark Melancon getting close making their debuts.

I'm also liking what I have seen from Veras.
Maybe he can keep it going.

And the bullpen has been fine
It’s not last year when nobody could get anyone out.
These guys are not perfect but Farnsy, Ollie, Edwar and so on will be OK. The important is to go deep and have a lead.

I agree they haven't been bad per say,
but giving up the Joba-Mariano combo in late innings is hard to swallow.
I guess we’ll see what happens.

They have to get to Joba with a lead in the 8th inning and they haven’t been doing that.

Yankees cannot win this year
Mr Girardi is very new to this, and will continue to use his aging ballplayers unwisely
