By my math
Hawkins would have to pitch shutout ball for 10.2 innings to get back down to a sub-5 ERA....
He had a stellar spring
So he might be able to do it. He just has to get under control. I thought it was a dumb move to pick him up, with all the talent in the minors dying for a roster spot.

patently impossible in the game of baseball. No mediocre reliever has ever had a good enough stretch to string together 10.2 scoreless innings.
