Technical-difficulties_medium

Our apologies for the technical difficulties that have plagued all SBN sites for the last 24 hours.

Here’s the deal.  In anticipation of the NFL Draft this weekend, SBN upgraded the server and migrated our NFL sister sites to the new platform as it did last month with the MLB sites.

Somehow, a major problem developed during the switch and the whole system crashed.

We don't expect these issues to be an ongoing problem, so please be patient while the SBN techies do their thing.

As for tonight's game, I went ahead and posted the Game Thread anyways.  Feel free to give us your thoughts on tonight's action.

Great job by Moose:

7.0 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K -- 103 pitches

Mussina is Jesus Christ ...

I’m probably gonna’ get struck by lightning for that subject line, but Moose rose from the dead. The ChiSox are a solid club with some great hitters. After enduring the bloodbath in Boston, I thought for certain we’d see a similar theme play out in the Windy City.

I was wrong. Moose looked great, and here’s why:

-He checked his ego and stubborness at the door.
-Posada caught him.
-He attacked and commanded both sides of the plate.
-He didn’t shake off Posada more than 2-3 times.
-He pitched with a lead.
-Gave the Yankees 7 strong innings
—lack of familiarity vs. the Sox

It’s time for Moose to become Madonna, and reinvent himself. A creature of habit, he needs to break out of his pattern and pitch in. I think he showed himself and everyone else that he can be successful throwing slop if he sheds his old mold and listens to Girardi and Posada.

I pronounced Moose dead. For the sake of the Yankees and their bullpen I hope what we all saw last night is what we will be seeing for the rest of the season.

absolutely...

...best part of the game for me last night was when girardi went to go get moose and posada yelled to stop him… frickin hilarious.
