Joba returns; Farnsworth suspended

Pete Abe is reporting the good news that Joba Chamberlain will return to the team before tonight's action against the Orioles.  Joba has reportedly made a couple of bullpen sessions while he was attending to his dad.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets into the game tonight regardless whether they have a lead in the 8th inning or not, especially with the off day coming up on Monday.

In other news, Kyle Farnsworth has been suspended by MLB for three games for throwing behind Manny Ramirez's head on Thursday night.

Farnsworth has appealed his suspension and Yankee fans would prefer he didn't.

I don't like Manny

and was glad that Farnsworth almost plunked him but I have to say that Manny never whined about it. He thought it was retribution for them going after Arod the night before and he was cool with it. Maybe he’s just dumb but most MLBers are big babies about this kind of thing but Manny was all Zen about it. He earned a smidgen of respect from me. In the incident both Farnsworth and Manny earned some respect from me. I have to take two aspirins and go to bed because I never thought I’d write that sentence.

I've said it before, but....

I don’t care if Gammons is a Red Sox fan. I’m one of the few Yankee fans who still likes him.

He can say whatever he wants as far as I’m concerned.

It was just that while on a National broadcast he reacted like a fan would. I just dont know how appropriate that really is. Of course, if I was a Boston fan, I’d probably be commending him showing his fandom.

yes I did and it bugged me

I also saw it on Rome Burning…but MANNY got it. Hello world. If Manny freaking Ramirez gets it then it should be lights out, that is the way it is.
