The 'myth' of the 565 foot home run

Fifty-five years ago today, Yankee icon Mickey Mantle stepped up to the plate at Griffith Stadium (Home of the Washington Senators) and proceeded to hit the longest home run in Major League Baseball history - a meteoric blast estimated at 565 feet.

Or did he?
