A Mid-Week Minor League Teaser
In the meantime, here's something to think about:
Every single AAA reliever has a lower WHIP and ERA than Kyle Farnsworth and LaTroy Hawkins.
Edwar (7IP), Britton (7IP), Jonny A. (5IP) and Sean Henn (2IP) have yet to allow any runs.
Every one of those relievers would make the major league minimum ($390,000). The combined salaries for the entire AAA bullpen (counting Jonny A.) would be $3.1M, a million dollar saving on LaTroy Hawkins and a $2,400,000 saving over Farnsworth.

Please don't advocate bringing
Henn back to the Bronx. I don’t think I could handle it.
It’s definitely time to resolve the Farnsworth issue (i.e., trade him for a new TV in the clubhouse), but I think Hawkins needs more of a chance.

Jonny A looks like he has decent stuff
but the rest of the crew are not major league caliber pitchers.

Mostly I agree
But Chris Britton has allowed 55 hits and 21 walks in 63.1IP with 46K over his year plus in the bigs.
A lot of people would like to see Scott Patterson before rendering judgement.

Britton and Patterson deserve a look
Aroth is whacked. ... again. Britton and Patterson deserve a shot—just like Henn and Ramirez.
I suggest the result will be better.
