Moose is a lifetime 19-15, 3.66 ERA in 55 starts against the Red Sox, but he was really hammered in 2007 (0-1, 9.26 ERA in 2 starts).
Yanks career numbers vs. Beckett can be viewed here. Red Sox career numbers vs. Moose can be
viewed here.
Finally, here's a mind-boggling tidbit through the first 11 games of 2008; the Yanks are 0-5 when allowing more than 2 runs. No pressure, Moose.

It'd be like Jeter
getting booed. Not impossible, but inexcusable.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
The talk show rage up here in Boston
is all about whether or not Ortiz gets a pass for all the great things he's done for the Sox in the past. There is a lot of bitterness about him not hitting. That last AB ain't gonna help any.
Encouraging news from Pete Abe:
Here’s a Derek Jeter update for you: The Captain took BP, then he fielded groundballs for seven minutes (like a nerd, I counted: 31) and then he ran in left field, from the foul line to center field about five times back and forth. He snuck into the clubhouse before we had a chance to talk to him. But via PR maven Jason Zillo, Jeter said he had no setbacks.
as long as we're winning series let the Captain rest
that way we can see what the attorney General can do

I may be in the minority here
But I think Moose was fine that inning. His curve looks pretty good and the Pedroia hit was a come backer he should have handled.
The throw from Molina to 2B could not have been any better, but it's tough to throw out speedy runners after a 70 MPH curve ball.
I think so too

It's going to rain hard pretty soon.
I live about 10-15 east of Fenway, and we just got a brutal thunderstorm that came through. Fortunately, it was very quick blowing through. A little lightning and thunder...hopefully won't cause a delay.
Dear Lord
PLEASE don't dive headfirst in to first base!
The Manny I know and love
would have dove for that and missed.
Wang looked awesome AGAIN!
There is no question in my mind now that Wang totally measures up to any other ace on any other team. He is awesome!
so when did Moose
become Barry Zito?

Nice inning Moose.
Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling about the next inning for some reason...
He's had good success against Papi and Manny
throughout his career. Of course, he's not the same Moose that he used to be.

Just saying...
It seems from the last two outings, when I've sat up and said, "Damn, nice inning", the next inning he gets a beatdown. Not rooting for it, just something that unnerves me.
I'll root for the stats to hold
Like I said, just my gut.

6 pitches that inning. 36 pitches through 4.

Moose was at 35 after 3
which isn't horrible either.

it would have helped the Tigers to play Willis on the DL before they left Lakeland.

Girardi and Ramirez
I said to myself before the at bat that you HAVE to walk Ramirez and pitch to Youklis. I don't give into this stupid F-in mentality of managers not wanting to give the intentional walk and saying it puts more pressure on the pitcher and they have to be more fine with their pitches. Ramirez is one of the great RBI players in the game and had already homered off Mussina. F- for Girardi
