Quick Book Club Question

Are we going to keep reading? When we started out the idea was to get us through the offseason. I've enjoyed reading the books, but I don't have a strong opinion either way, so it's really up to you guys.

Read the book ... let's keep moving forward

Summer of '49 was a special read to me. I'd like us to continue, but to make smart choices. I really have no interest in reading about drug addicts, and wife beaters. I'd like us to stick to baseball--preferably Yankee history--the team, the players, etc. That's my two cents.

How many

good books are there on Yankee history? Not the Yankeeography type, but a solid read like this?

Definitely think we should move forward. And I feel bad for being a rather lame contributor to Summer of 49 thread. But we got new kitchen cabinets put in on Saturday and yada yada yada.

The question is, how do we get a real thread going on this stuff?

I still

haven't finished it and would like to have a robust discussion of it but I, too, was a lame commentator. I'm enjoying it and would like to savor it rather than rush through. Maybe we could table the discussion for a few days. I really want to talk about it but want to finish it first.

Missed the first go 'round

I was in DC, and then NYC and didn't have much of an opportunity to comment on anything let alone the Halberstam book. Love to discuss.

BG,

why don't you post a fanpost when you're finished?
