Santana or Wang?
I'm really having a difficult time picking which pitcher I'd rather have, especially come playoff time. A pitcher who has a helluva shot at the Hall of Fame or a one-pitch pitcher with a lifetime road ERA of of 4.62. and a .292 batting average against.

Oh
It's easy to know which pitcher I'd want. Which pitcher is worth the investment in dollars and players is another story all together.
Here's a hint:
Wang's 50 percentile 2008 WARP: 3.4. Salary: $4 million.
Santana's 50 percentile 2009 WARP: 7.4. Salary: $19 million.
Wang's four year forecast: 12.1 WARP, circa $32 million (4, then guessing 6, 9, 13).
Santana's four year forecast: 26.3 WARP, $82.5 million+ performance bonuses.
You can probably see where I'm going with this, so I won't bother calculating the cost of replacing Phil Hughes' innings this season or the defensive downgrade created by replacing Melky-Damon with Damon-Matsui in CF-LF.
The trade didn't make sense for a team that is aiming to contend for the next decade. It really sucks that the Steinbrenner "WIN NOW" doctrine forced the Yankees into a position where couldn't go for broke in the Stadium's final season, but the bloated payroll and empty farm system were the only dividends for the George's bluster.
That you pine for the Boss' approach disturbs me.

that he continues
to post the same whine disturbs me.
Yo Andy...don't you have some new material by now? I mean seriously, it has been...what...four MONTHS since you inaugurated that complaint?
Let it go.

How was rehab, Andy?
Missed you these last few weeks. Did you see Britney? What about Lindsay? I actually think you might have a shot with Brit. Let us know, will ya'? That would be far more interesting than your usual drivel.

I go to movies, concerts, night clubs
along with watching and taping many games off the MLB package. What do you do? Go to sleep by yourself in a Derek Jeter jersey?
You are an ugly human being, dude
