The Best Thing to Happen to the Backpages
Peter Abe can give you the rundown on Arod's exaggeration over how many times he was drug tested last season.
He originally said 9-10 times, then he claimed he had said 7-10 times, then he said he was just exaggerating for effect. Once or twice would be typical.
Can other teams ask that certain players be tested? I don't think so, but that would explain a lot.
The larger point remains that Arod (once again) simply should not have give that much information to the press. Say something bland and unoriginal, please.

I'm still partial to Field of Dreams
I make it a ritual every year to watch that movie just before Opening Day.
Agreed on Field of Dreams...
Bull Durham is a great flick too, though.
More jokes(?) from A-rod...
"Andy is one of the greatest human beings I've ever met," Rodriguez said. "I have two daughters -- well, I have one and one on the way. If I had a daughter, I would want 'em to marry Andy Pettitte. The age difference might be a little awkward, but in today's day and age anything is possible."
...okay that one's a little creepy, dude.
Just poorly worded, like

yeah
at one point he goes, "pronoun trouble".
I think Alex has "that's not what I meant" trouble. Like it gets jumbled on the way to his mouth from his brain. I understood his remarks about Andy marrying his daughter but it did come out creepy. Like Alex, you have your contract, you love Andy, you didn't do PEDs, now shut up.
