I wouldn’t be surprised if there are scouts or agents out there encouraging it. In this day and age, the idea of a walled-off communist country is a joke. The Internet, cell phones, etc., make it easy for these guys to be in touch with the wider world and realize what they’re missing. So regardless of people whispering in their ear and helping them defect, they surely have the desire to. The Yanks are pretty good at finding Dominican prospects lately, so I hope we’re involved when they reach the DR.
