- Cashman visited with Andy Pettitte in the hopes of bringing him back for around $10 million.

- A.J. Burnett has narrowed it down to the Yankees and Braves. If they're willing to spend $80 million for five years of the injury-prone Burnett, why not spend $40-$60 on Manny Ramirez to upgrade the offense from average to great?

- Nothing new on the Mike Cameron-Melky Cabrera swap. If it gets rid of Igawa, who could complain?

- Might Bernie play again? He's about to start in the Puerto Rican Winter League with the hopes of joining the PR team in next year's World Baseball Classic.

Fox is also reporting a preliminary agreement for AJ. They report $85 million over 5 years. I hope it is not all guarteened ? To tell you the truth I would rather have Derek Lowe than Burnett. I also hear that the Milky for Cameron trade is NOT dead. What does this all mean for Joba starting rotation or 8th inning set up man and heir to Mo when he retires ?
