Should Yanks sign Cuban defector?

Dayan Viciedo is his name. And he's (listed as) just 19.

"Dayan has been playing at the international level since 14," [Jaime] Torres said. ''Teams have scouted him since then, and several have even said to me, 'I don't need to see him play -- I just want to make sure he still has two arms and two legs.' That's how highly they think of him.

''This kid was going to be the Babe Ruth of Cuba in his country's eyes, and they were sad to lose him. He was the future of Cuban baseball.''

Keep in mind though that Torres is his agent.

I would take a look at him.

First off, make sure he really is 19. Secondly, make sure he can play/has potential.
