Ken Rosenthal of Fox reported that Andy Pettitte had talked with Joe Torre about playing for the Dodgers. This could well be the Hendricks brothers reminding the Yankees that Andy is still waiting for his contract.
Once a player gets in the open market, all bets are off. But Pettitte owes the Yankees one for all the support they threw his way last spring after he admitted his PED use.

No, he doesn't ... and neither do they ...
Andy owes the Yankees nothing, and neither do they. We need pitching, and sadly, Andy’s not the answer. He was positively horrible the last half of the season and a key reason why we didn’t make the playoffs. I don’t blame Andy. I love the guy. He answered the bell and did his best. But as we all painfully saw last season, his best simply isn’t that good anymore.
I’ve struggled with this because I love Andy, but baseball is a business. It may be time to move one. I frankly think Andy would look good in Dodger Blue
