would AJ Burnett be enough

I ask the question because if CC really is not interested in NY is AJ enough? And what if AJ doesn't go for the money either? The rotation is looking thin. I know its early but we're pinning a lot of hopes (and cash) on CC.

Wang, Joba, Hughes, Pettitte, Kennedy is not going to get it done although I've been wrong before.

Wang, AJ, Joba, Hughes, Pettitte maybe? any thoughts

CC, Wang, Joba, Hughes, Pettitte obviously is better than last year

CC, Wang, Joba, AJ, Hughes is there still room for Pettitte I saw yeas because if any one of those guys goes down he's a lot more than a lifeboat.

What are the trades (outside of Peavy) that Cash should make if CC and AJ are a no go for pinstripes? Begging Moose to unretire? Giving Kennedy every 5th day? Who are the Ponsons out there we could get? The radar isn't wide enough if you ask me with only CC, Lowe and AJ right now. I don't think Peavy is gonna come here in a million years. Randy Johnson 2.0 anyone? We could do worse...Ponson.

Glavine? Garcia? And I’d take Sheets over Lowe any day. Age alone being the biggest reason to pass on Lowe.

Cain

Cano, Hughes, Ajax

The Giants would take that in a heartbeat. We should too. Cain is better than Hughes, and Cano can be replaced with Hudson, AJax with any free agent since he is in the minors

What do you guys think?

To address Tozer's question: Would AJ be enough?

No! AJ wouldn’t be enough.

Remember we started last year with CMW, Moose, Pettitte, Hughes, Kennedy, and Joba. That was a disaster. Moose has retired. We’re not as optimistic as last year for Pettitte or Hughes. Someone is bound to be hurt.

We need to sign Pettitte. If we sign AJ we’ll still need another GOOD arm. Less is inviting disaster.

No reason to be pessimistic on CC yet.

If I's known I was going to live so long, I'd have taken better care of myself. Casey

AJ blows

He will be on the DL for at least half a year, posting a 4.50 ERA the other half of the year.

I would rather have Pavano in the rotation next year.

AJ

Hell no he isn’t enough – he’s too much of an injury risk. I mean, he’s shown an ability to stay healthier than American Idle – but that’s about it….AJB is a walking DL report.
