Red Neck Moves to the Big Apple

Hey Folks.  Just wanted to let all here know I made the big move to the big city.  The Tennessee born and raised Yanks fan moved to Queens on July 1.  After honeymoon cruise to Canada with the new bride, have settled in here in the big city.  We were married on May 27.  Biggest hurdle is that the wife and all my in-laws are big time Mets fans.  However, since the woman cooks the second best fried chicken in the world--after Momma's of course--I think I'll keep her.  Rolled into town with the XM blaring Lynard Skinard.  Now just have to find gainful employment in this burg.  If the Yanks win a Subway series this year, I might need someone's couch to crash on for a coupla days!

welcome
to the big city...don't let it eat you up.

There are some Yankee groups in NYC on meetup.com, sometimes they get tickets for a game and sometimes they get together in Manhattan to see a game.  Good way to meet people and learn your way around.

Welcome!
Some of the best New Yorkers have been small-town folk, like F. Scott Fitzgerald.  Great that you were repping us in Tenn all these years!
I wish the red sox the best in their 2090 playoff campaign

Welcome, indeed!
Glad someone moved in to take my country lovin' place. Knew my years there were numbered when I found us spending more time in NH than in NY. The one thing you'll notice as a newbie country boy is that thar's more red necks per 1000 people in NY City than any where else in the world. They just don't bunch up like in the south. Enjoy the Stadium for the next year and a half. bob
