A Different take of Giambi talking to Mitchell

Saw this while browsing. Thought some of you might want to look at it also.

Personally I don't think this is such a "break" for Giambi.  He is correct that the Union will circle the wagons on this issue.

A little off topic
Baseball Tonight mentioned how Mitchell was trolling Fenway Park before the game in a Red Sox shirt trying to get players to sign autographs for his grandson.  All four anchors thought it was inappropriate - journalists and umpires aren't allowed to do that because they're in a position to judge players.  They said Mitchell responded that he could separate being a fan and investigating the players.  Typical bullshit from a politician.

Thank you
I found it quite appalling.

i agree
It would be like the Fed's who are investigating Michael Vick asking him for an autograph. Completely inappropriate. He says that being a fan of the game shouldn't get in the way of his investigation, but he can still go to the games and watch them without asking for an autograph. He should have known better. If I were a player (especially one being investigated) that I wouldn't want Sen. Mitchell anywherer near the playing field.

Didn't the same thing
Happen when the players testified before congress a few years ago.   Congressmen asking for an autographs in the halls of the capital, nice.

I wonder if Sosa
"understood" enough English to be able to give an autograph?
