Gotta tip your cap to Andy Pettitte for battling out there and still managing to give up just 2 runs in 6 innings. He clearly wasn't himself, but he got the job done nonetheless. It's a damn shame that he couldn't get the win.
Nice to see Farnsworth throwing hard again. In fact, that may have been the first time he's hit 99 MPH on the gun since the team left Spring Training.
Game 2 marks the return of Mike Mussina. Welcome back, Moose. He probably won't throw more than 85 pitches, so the [gulp] bullpen will have to be armed and ready for action.

Lineup
Minky and Nieves should never appear in the same lineup. Ugh.

I say that because he only threw 65 pitches and was rolling along.

By the way, it is time to come up with a nickname for Cashman. Right now, the front runner for me is Brian Cashquette alluding to a similar qualified GM.

Another conversation
Joe Torre: "Who? You mean that kid from Tampa Bay? He's not right."
BC: "What do you mean, Joe? He's got a good stick. He could really give Jorge a breather."
JT: "Can't we get Flaherty back? That guy can really catch and throw."
BC: "Joe, be serious. Hall could help us."
JT: "Catch and Throw! Catch and Throw!"
BC: "Christ. Where's my medication?"
